im touched by this mans story. i think we as australians have plenty of heroes forgotten by time. i see there is a man campaigning to get the government to fix grave sites of vc winners. how did we forget them?
im amazed that kids arent taught about monash,jacka, payne, dunlop why?

You are right Brad. I will look at doing a regular post on our Aussie heroes. I just used this one because when I read it I could hardly believe my eyes.
how can i forget about wheatley who stayed with his mate and died with him rather then abandon him. amazing courage and sums up the essence of being australian. i cry over this story yet a whole generation has never heard of this man
