Russian conscript offered genital restoration
The state will pay for an operation to restore the sexual organs of a Russian conscript who had his legs and genitals amputated as a result of a brutal bullying incident.
Like, as if that’s going to help.

Crimes occur worldwide in the Army, including here in the UK. Shootings and bullying are rife, what else is expected when a bunch of meat heads get drunk ? I’m not complacent but how do you control a thug in the Army who’s trained to fight, kill and maim.
I think the point is the Russian State is trying to make good on a very bad situation.
It gives some form of self respect back, What else can they offer ? Nothing. At least he’s not dead. He’ll have a limited life but he does have his life and hopefully a lot of compensation, to make life as easy as it can be for him now.
Its a token gesture that acts as an official apology, lets hope it kicks them into action to stop it happening again.
While this is bad consider Uganda in Africa for a moment.
