Thomson to quit Labor
LABOR MP Craig Thomson is set to quit the party and sit on the crossbenches of Parliament as an Independent, Sky News has reported.
Mr Thomson is set to announce his move at a press conference outside his electorate office at noon, AEST.
Not good enough. Gillard will still be dependent on an alleged thief and a whore monger as I can’t imagine him not voting ALP.
I’d say he has been told to go to stop the ALP bleeding but I can’t imagine voters are going to suddenly think – Oh well, he’s and independent now so his behavior doesn’t reflect on the ALP.

Just another bit of spin from the most spin driven govt we’ve ever had.
The one thing the govt could do to stop the electoral bleeding is to call a royal commission into the ongoing farce that is the Thomson affair. but they can’t afford the sort of things that will come out in such an investigation. Hopefully the coalition will call one after the next election.
More smoke and mirrors….investigation still in the wings…..still being paid to do little…..still voting as a Labor lacky…..and more importantly receiving many pats on the back from his mates in the Party for appearing to fall on the sword and distance himself from those with the most to gain from this deception….Juliar and co. If I thought it was funny I would add Ha, Ha, Ha.
