Have been very busy this week trying to overcome Spam mainly from texas-holdem.terashells.com. If any reasonable person knows more about these turkeys could they send round a patrol and take them out.
Come on..are you listening over there at Midland, Texas.

There are a few things you can try. Add a program that disallows certain words. Then you can add the word “poker” to it that will help. It’s not likley many of your commenters will use the word “poker”. Also you can add a nifty little thing that adds a code that you have to type in to post a comment. This stops most robot spammers. (There is more than likley a MT plug in that will perfome both those tasks)
Banning their IP address is bound to fail, they seem to have dozens of them.
At the end of the day, short of having your blog hold each and every comment for your approval there is little you can do that I know of.
No matter what you do, some will get through. The best you can hope for is to make it difficult for them and perhaps limit them a bit.
