Worlds oldest shoe found

Archaeologists have found a 2,000 year old shoe in Britain.
LONDON: Archaeologists said Tuesday they believed they had dug up Britain’s oldest shoe, dating from the early Iron Age about 2,000 years ago.
The article says the shoes might be for a man, but if not, I bet the poor husband had to walk all the way to Italy to get them for his wife.

  • Don’t believe the 2000 y.o. claim. That’s the shoe I lost while passing thru Britain in 1972. I’m rather rough on my footwear; most of my current shoes look at least 1900 years old.

  • Ah yes – but my guess is that Julie’s shoes are all great. Any Italian models in the wardrobe? My wife continually feeds me the line that Aussie shoes just never fit – only Italian ones. Although I’m happy for to be happy her arguement isn’t logical.

My old Aussie made boots serve me well AND still fit.
