Mike Reed of
Bunker Mulligan fame has passed away from a heart attack at the untimely age of 52. I’ve read his blog daily for some time now and although not interested in his passion with golf, I was vitally interested in his wisdom and life’s experiences.
He will be missed from the scene and I will miss his comments and emails.
Rest in peace, Mike.
Received this email this morning and spent some time searching the net for confirmation
Found none….Zilch…. Zero…as you all know.
Received another copy this afternoon from a different woman but the same text.
Turn on your TV. Osama Bin Laden has been captured. While CNN has no pictures at this point of time, the military channel (PPV) released some pictures. I managed to capture a couple of these pictures off my TV. Ive attached a slideshow containing all the pictures I managed to capture. I apologize for the low quality, its the best I could do at this point of time. Hopefully CNN will have pictures and a video soon. God bless the USA!
Both emails kicked back when I tried to reply.
Has anyone else been so inflicted?
What on earth is their purpose?
A SUSPICIOUS package has been found at Parliament House in
Canberra.
An ACT police spokesman said officers were at the scene inspecting the package, which was found at the loading dock in the car park of the parliament complex.

UPDATE: The
Australian has a further report
here
Heroin smuggler gets
20 years
An Aussie in Vietnam has received a sentence similar to Corby but unfortunately he is male, not an attractive woman and has a non-Aussie sounding name.
Of course the press will be up in arms about this tomorrow.
Not.
Chopper Pilot conquors
Everest. Certainly saves all that walking uphill.
This letter in todays Australian says it all
THE real issue is not whether Schapelle Corby did it or not, but whether the sentence will be life imprisonment or death.
Both the media and the politicians have misread the Australian public on this issue. There is anger out there that a Muslim cleric is getting a few short years for arranging a bombing that killed many Australians, yet this young woman faces a life sentence or death. That’s the issue!

I cant see the court setting her free so Geoff’s take on the affair will be telling. With the outcome to be released tomorrow, Saturday’s press will be awash with indignation. Some will think her innocent but the main thrust should be her sentence compared with the 30 months handed down to the ‘Moslem cleric”.
Either way I wish her well.
I took the header photo at Yellow Waters, Kakadu, Northern Territory last year and I’m sure I will eventually work out how to get my name back up there (I hope). I plan to insert long term articles by myself and others in the third column after I give the photos the flick.
UPDATE: I do listen to my readers. This setting should suit 800×600 viewers and those on ‘dial-up’. I will display photos through some other means.
This is my 600th post. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun.
Since moving from MT to WordPress and swapping servers I have struggled with archives. Stressed at loosing a few years of posts, comments, snide asides, sarcastic answers and proof positive of the idiocy of the left, I turned to Gary (the legend) Gravett for help. Gary has recovered all the archives with just a couple of hours work and they will be posted back on my site within 24 hours.
Thanks Gary. Your effort is all the more appreciated considering at one stage, I recall Jason Soon accusing you of being an uneducated code illiterate RWDB that doesnt read books.
In the process I have found archives on my computer from when I blogged before Blogger, before MT and before WordPress. Published with Dreamweaver 4 these comments date back to 2002.
My world is almost in order again.
